For those looking forward to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and haven’t heard yet, the game’s release has been delayed to an unspecified release date in 2019 next year.
 
Really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come…

Getting kinda tired of the “Echo Fighters for EVERY Smash Character!”
 
We already have, like, six. Sakurai and his team are probably going to add six more (Shadow -> Sonic and Isabelle -> Villager are what most people are betting on), but certainly not EVERYBODY.

I get that they wanted people to be more accepting of clone characters, but with the Echo Fighter rebranding, a lot of people now have this weird obsession of having clones of every single character, even when it’s a situation where the clone doesn’t make any sense.
 
The dumbest ones I’ve seen suggested so far are Primarina as a Jigglypuff echo, Paper Mario as a Mr. Game & Watch echo (the idea of which pisses me the fuck off because Paper Mario is a character I really want in due to the potential for an awesome and unique character), and, if Dr. Eggman were to get in as a playable character, Tails as an Eggman echo.

I’ll do you one better: Banjo+Kazooie as a Duck Hunt Echo.
 
LITERALLY the only thing the two have in common is “animal with bird on his back”.
 
On the other hand, Lillie and Cosmog could make a good Rosalina and Luma Echo Fighter.

Personally, I’d love to see Tails get into the game, though NOT as an echo fighter.

Did Blizzard seriously put a Steamed Hams reference in the game.

There’s also a quest, I won’t say where or what, that is a “nothing personal kid” joke. Down to an npc teleporting behind someone.

The same place that quest is, there’s a rare “cake” that requires you to fight a lanky purple baker to get the “Lazy Bakers Ring” whose flavor text says it’s a piece of cake.
 
The only way that could be more on the nose is if the rare screamed about being #1.

Well, the “nothing personal” one actually is important to the zones story, and is part of the main quest line. But, that’s just a one off joke in an otherwise serious chain.

Not as odd as the translators for EO5 referencing out right referencing Spooky Scary Skeletons in a quest as well as a Star Wars reference.

DS1’s graphics aren’t great, but it’s still one of the best games of the decade.

Funny enough, I saw a Cuphead review by Vod, and he talks about how important the graphics were in making a visual style that fits with the tone of the game, and he has a point. Graphics are suppose to work with the game’s story and atmosphere, not compete with them.
