1. Executive meddling will happen in a show about toys. There’s no way around it. It’s about integration into the world. Complaining about executive meddling is stupid and you should expect them to pop up whether as a show piece, flashback piece, or visual gag.

3. And you are strawmaning people by saying that they can only like MMC if they are blind fanboys. No, again, have you ever watched a blind reactor? A lot of them have episodes they don’t like but still like or love MMC.
    
   And, yes, it IS mostly because of headcanons, cynicism, nitpicking, and overexpectations from people who knew beforehand because they expect the show to “wow” them with a change so they scrutinize and expect the perfect episode. That is how it is - many claim to go in with an open mind but they are really going into judge it weighing one or two problems - usually minor - as a reason to hate the episode.

Yeah telling people to go to hell for disliking a character is totally reasonable too.

1. Execute meddling for the worse for the sole reason of selling toys which do not by themselves fit the theme of the show the toys are based on is not something which has to be accepted by default.

3. You straw man him by claiming it’s about his “head canons” despite him never making any such claim. When he in fact makes a perfectly reasonable argument about not rushing major character development. You straw man him more about him being “nitpicky”, “cynical” and “scrutinized every detail”. MMC is widely regarded as the worst episode in the entire series. It has many flaws, and pretending it doesn’t is either dishonest, or just having a low standards.
    
   I would bet that most people who “love” MMC are the people who “love” every episode and everything about the show.

1. There will always be executive meddling in a cartoon used to sell toys. ALWAYS. If you don’t think there is or will be you need a reality check. Don’t play make believe that cartoons like MLP are for the fun of it.
    
2. Of course the staff lied about the leak. They were leaks. Unless the episode leaks they are going to deny it. Do you have no concept of spoilers?
    
3. You find MMC mostly shit because you went into it with an overexpected, nitpicky, cynical attitude about how they do it. You scrunitized every detail like you never had before and found it lacking because of headcanons and your desire for not wanting it to happen. MMC is a typical MLP episode and is no better or worse than the show usually is. You went into it with a bad attitude and had a bad time, that is your fault.
    
   You ever watch blind reactors who don’t know it’s coming? Mass majority LOVE the episode before it even gets to the wings and loves it afterwards. You are the problem itself so don’t put your make believe quality value in a case of you not wanting something to happen so you look at all the faults instead of the good things.
    
   It’s the same bull that happens with Equestria Girls and Flash Sentry. Hate shipping? Have headcanons? Hate het? You see Flash hate instead of indifference at best. Not to mention going in with this expectation that them being humans and Flash being a love interest has to “wow” you means that any little fault in the movie is going to be scrutinized, nitpicked, and pulled apart. You don’t go in to enjoy it, you went in to judge it - not like a critic or analyst either who have to piece out both virtues and faults.
    
   So, keep your mockery of quality value, of corporate mandates and the inability to see the difference of quality in them, and your foolishness in thinking they won’t lie to you about leak to yourself.
