Seriously?… Guy needs to see a shrink if he means that. (God forbid he buy a Nintendo console. “ZOMG CASUAL!”)
I didn’t even bitch that badly when “Sonic Generations” didn’t get a Wii version.
One thing I will fault Nintendo on is creating the “casual games/gamer,” and “hardcore games/gamer” labels, as they really have divided up gamers/gaming in negative ways… “ZOMG! I’m not playing that game! It’s casual!” “But you play Angry Birds on your phone.” “T-T-That’s different!”
@HighRollerHydra
Yeah, it’s not out yet though, (set for release in 2016) and it’s only going to be on other Mobile devices apparently, and they don’t want it on 3DS. (For the reasons I mentioned.)
Kinda ironic, considering Nintendo published the first game for them. Oh well…
I hate to rant again, or sound like a Nintendo-fanboy, but it seems like no matter how many gritty/violent games appear on a Nintendo system, they’re never going to shake the “kiddy” image the media has placed on them.
(Though, frankly I prefer quirky Japanesey games over gritty “realistic” games personally.)
I especially found it funny, when gamers were PISSED that “Bayonetta 2” was a WiiU exclusive, right after complaining that WiiU doesn’t have enough exclusive “hardcore/violent/mature” games for it.
Ah well. At least I still have the original. At the moment I’m trying to get all my Lives to “Adept” before I resume the story. Only once I hit level 99 will I buy the “Origin Island” DLC, which raises the cap to 200.
@HighRollerHydra
It looks like a nice game, but after playing so much “Animal Crossing: NL” I’m a li’l burned out on those kinda games for now.
Y’know, ironically they refused to release the “Fantasy Life” sequel for 3DS, because they want more older people to play it, so they only released it on tablets/smartphones instead.
Ironically, many kids do more gaming on those then 3DS frankly. (And I know many older people with the 3DS.) So frankly, I find that to be a total stupid/B.S. reason.
Makes it further ironic, because Nintendo even went through the trouble to advertise their first FL game with their streetpass plaza’s panel picture, and on the Eshop, and such… (That’s gratitude for ya.)
I don’t know why so many game developers always backstab Nintendo, (Cough!)EA! (Cough!)
@Beau Skunky
At the moment, my addiction is “Fantasy Life”. It’s like a kids’ version of Skyrim, with hundreds of things to do, an open world…however, unlike Skyrim, once you start a story-related quest, you can’t change too much until it’s finished and you’re put back into having “Explore Reveria” (the game’s world) as your touch-screen goal.
@Beau Skunky
No Wii U? Dude, you are REALLY missing out…Smash Bros. Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario Maker…
@Beau Skunky
Also, I’ve gotten the proper motivation for manually leveling up my amiibo instead of lazily pairing them with level 9 CPUs, and to enjoy losing against them. Wanna know how?
