It’s easy to be right when you just guess until you get the truth.

so this means the show will pull the korra card? That would be a mess if they don´t plan the lives of every main character, like, what would rainbow dash be doing here to three years in the future?

As much as they like to argue otherwise, /mlp/ does not have a good track record with their predictions, though they’re marginally better at it than Reddit anons.
 
Anytime I see a prediction, especially from the usual suspects, I just assume the very fact it’s being mentioned all but ensures it’s not happening.

There’s some indication that the gap between S5 and S6 isn’t going to be very long, thanks to the summer hiatus and probably another mid-season hiatus for S6, so I mean if we’re talking a short gap between seasons, a cliffhanger would be doable.
 
Cliffhanger and another eleven month gap though dear lord naw.

As long as it’s no more than 1 year, I’ll be fine. Seems weird, but eh.

I’m up for a time-skip, before or during the Season 6 Opening.
 
But naturally, since this is the internet, there will always be that select group of people who will be against it and say the shark has been jumped, etc, etc. etc.
 
I mean, yes, Ponies have maintained stability, but times change, both the target and peripheral demographics have aged 5 years, as said earlier, and Ponies need to reflect change. Besides, Michelle, Claire and Maddie aren’t going to keep their pre-teen voices once puberty strikes to remain as the filly CMCs and supposedly Twist’s own VA had to leave for that very reason. A time-skip is good.

That’d… actually make a lot of sense.

Unless the timeskip heralds the beginning of MLP generation 4.1

Timeskip, the mane six will be old age veterans of harmony the CMC will be the new hero’s Shning and Cadence will be dead and or old and their daughter will be in charge of the crystal empire Celestia and Luna will step down and let Twilight Sparkle and Sunset shimmer take over and will be the teachers for the CMC.

Or worse, the Season 5 Finale will end with the Time Skip. I mean once the Mane Six finally fix whatever time travel mess, they return and boom! CMC a few years older and the royal foal is born/already a young filly/colt.

I would like to see an older more mature CMC though I doubt they will grow much by the time the baby is born.

An interesting hypothesis, but I find myself against it. Character growth is one of the greatest strengths of this show. It would be a great shame to just gloss over the first formative years of Twilight’s political career, Rarity’s growing business, the Crusaders’ exploration of their destiny…

I wouldn’t mind a bit of a time skip in between seasons, as long as its not a huge one. Like maybe 3 years at most IMO.
