Wouldn’t Sunset’s existence in an alternate dimension have been disrupted by Stairway Starlight or does the veil between dimensions create a paradox barrier? Ooh, or maybe they just don’t remember time being altered before Rainbow’s string emergency. XD

This would probably make for a curious story because Starlight’s magic takes away a pony’s special talent, making them lost and useless at their talent. But Sunset’s talent is something to do with magic, and she’s spent the last 3 or so years in a world mostly without it and without her connections to her special talent. Chances are that Starlight would take away Sunset’s magic, start gloating, and then Sunset would proceed to use the flipside of the friendship lessons (protect your friends, rather than ‘anyone can be your friend’) give the mare the physical beating of a lifetime until she reversed what she did.
