Talk about regret. What is it with this stain in the SU fandom (Benefit of the doubt that these fools don’t represent the entirety)?
 
I like the show and all but it’s kinda pathetic that there are those people that call themselves fans AND act so classless.
 
Ironically apparently the MLP fandom is the cancer to them.

The SU fandom scares me sometimes, especially after this shit. I mean when even the crew of the show is calling you on your shit and then getting attacked for it from those same fans, you know something has gone horribly wrong in a fandom.

fans have sent crazy reactions to creators over the years.
 
IIRC one of the writers for the show ‘beast machines’ cancelled a convention appearance over death threats (that was during the height of the fan hate though)
 
same thing happened to the writers who killed off/replaced gwen stacy and hal jordan (to various extents).
 
It’s just today people can send the crazy faster and more personal than ever before.

Sure there are bad people among good people, but Steven Universe @tumblr seems to have attracted the garbage. Hell, 4chan’s /sug/ board is more reasonable.

The guy probably doesn’t have much knowledge of what the “pony fandom” is like, I guess. He didn’t say “bronies”, mind, and the “pony fandom” does have its share of crazy and vicious assholes on tumblr (see ponydreamdiary / dragondicks or ponett, for example).
 
And yeah, the people that attacked her over that Fluttershy image most likely aren’t MLP fans (and certainly wouldn’t consider themselves “bronies”); she was already in the target sites of the SJW side of the SU tumblr fandom before then, so for them it was just another thing to attack her over.

it’s the few a-holes that bring the goodness down for everyone.

All fandoms have their flankholes, whether it be MLP, Sonic, PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, whatever you can find, there are the complete and utter awful fans for those fandoms…

I personally haven’t come across such comments in the mlp fandom. but the only instance ive heard where a brony was receiving such was the guy behind the molestia tumblr. which was more of tumblr vs a brony instead bronies vs a brony. which ive noticed is where most of this crap keeps stemming from ever since tumblr got this big. well more so than any other site. but again that’s just me personally

The victim talked about in the video does pony stuff like Fluttershy as Native American
 
But most of the hate she received seemed to be in regards to how she drew Rose Quartz so it does seem to have to do with the SU then MLP
 
But regardless he is right in the video that there should be awareness made about this regardless of what people might think of the shows themselves

Hmm? what does this have to do with MLP? I get some of the fans can be a**holes (true of every fandom) but I’ve never heard (or perhaps don’t remember) any instances of us harassing somebody to suicide. Or maybe I’m just not involved enough to really see what’s going on. in the vid he just goes on about Steven Universe and this particular instance, sad as it is.
