If you enjoy a hour an a half of popcorn flick like entertainment the action movies are fun. I loved Transformers as a kid and remember the source material was just as cheesy and cliche at times.

I wish people would stop going into blockbuster action romps expecting Citizen Kane. I hope people aren’t expecting a Lion King or Spirited Away you might be disappointed lol

With the MLP movie I’m expecting a longer, better animated version of an episode of the show.

Although a live-action MLP movie would be hilarious.

Horrifying, but hilarious.

Also the Jem move was not Jem, they took somthing unrelated and slapped the names on it, as RaineV1 said they ditched the source material.

Of course all the moves where bad, it’s not a subjective matter at all and that there are people that enjoy the TF and G.I.Joe moves despite the problem, or that some where not outright bad, no they outright suck and it’s from being a Hasbro IP based movie.

Try harder OP.

the main character is much more tolerable than the transformer leads (both of them) and probably had more character development in one movie than sam witwicky had in a trilogy.

@OptimusPrimevil
The only good thing about Battleship was Liam Neeson. Who spends the entire movie not being in a better movie.
Background Pony #F1BC
The team behind the show is working on the movie. In that regard alone it’s a huge step forward from the other movies

Also, one of the best movies of 2014 was a movie based on a toy line so, quite frankly, I’m cautiously optimistic about this.
Background Pony #27F8
Technically, Jurassic World is a Hasbro film and it was entertaining.

Also… there’s another movie that Hasbro has a hold on… what was it called? OH WAIT!

And while we’re on the subject of Hasbro movies, at least GI Joe and Transformers got the basic stories for each franchise right. Can’t say the same for Jem or Battleship.

The Last Airbender was made by Nickelodeon Movies, of course Nickelodeon had a say in it. Likewise, Hasbro has their own film studio, called Hasbro Films, which has had at least somewhat of hand in all of their movies since Transformers.

Hey, Transformers (or at least the first one anyway) and GI Joe were actually pretty good. GI Joe in particular captured the cheesiness and over the top nature of the franchise PERFECTLY.

@Background Pony #0EB4
Also, in the case of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, the IP holder was the one making the movie. That’s different than a movie studio buying the rights to make a movie based on an existing IP.
Background Pony #445F
@Background Pony #2AAF
Every movie studio is making things based off of existing brands, because these studios are afraid to pump out original ideas. That’s a different story, though. Hasbro’s movie adaptations as of late have a track record of being significantly more shitty than most studios’.

@Ghost of Zeon
This isn’t the 80s anymore. They haven’t proven their ability to make a good movie in the 21st century.
RaineV1

@Background Pony #0EB4
You don’t know how Hollywood works. Hasbro wasn’t involved in those movies. It was the movie company executives deciding things. The IP holders rarely oversee the production of the movie. It’s purely done by the execs of the movie company. Just like how pre-Disney owned Marvel movies didn’t have much input from the people in charge of Marvel itself. That’s actually still the case for the movie rights that Disney hasn’t gotten yet, like Fantastic 4. The Last Airbender is another example. The execs of Nickelodeon weren’t involved with that, just the movie company executives.
