@Brony_Conundrum
I think people except more than a slap on the wrist for antagonists but man do i feel some people wont be satisifed if the character is not shown flagellating him/herself while yelling “I DID BAD, I DID BAD”.Once again,the show subtitle is “Friendship is Magic” not bitterness.The show is definitely on the idealistic side of the Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism.Try to explain that to cynical millenials….
@Dizzy Pen
And she learned her lesson and is now ready to do good. I honestly don’t get why so many people are so outraged over a show called “Friendship is Magic” showing the virtues of friendship.
@Mojo
Well if she shows the redemption levels of Sunset, maybe.
@Brony_Conundrum
It was a cop-out because Starlight caused a lot of suffrering and problems, and a sad backstory doesn’t make her already forgivable. Sunset wasn’t forgiven by everybody, and had to do a lot of things to earn her forgiveness. And here…
It feels too rushed to everyone to forget all the brainwashing and time altering shenanigans Starlight committed.
@Brony_Conundrum
As much as i disagree with the ongoing little backlash on this episode,stop asking people to stop criticizing the episode.It never work and make people more vitriolic after
@PonyPon
Well Jesus, I’d like something other than the damn near non-stop bitching that seems to take up this fandom’s time these days. The season only finished three hours ago and already people are up in arms over even more stupid bullshit.
@Brony_Conundrum
I liked the episode but Starlight back story was too rushed.Hope it’s getting fleshed out later because man pacing is the arch-nemesis of this show.There was a hint that Starlight wanted to face the consequence of her action,that’s good but Twilight is just too forgiving because the show subtitle is “Friendship is Magic” and so there this focus that is not totally out of place on forgiving that people have a hard time to get here (Give her community services or some shit!)
Also hoping for a season finale that dont cause controversy……just one please
@Brony_Conundrum
Mainly the problem with the ending is how rushed it had to be. I hope that season 6 will show a slower version of what happened or something. Something kind of like Sunset Shimmer’s deal in Rainbow Rocks maybe.
@Dizzy Pen
How was it a cop-out? We learn why Starlight is the way she is, Twilight teaches her about the magic of friendship, and now she’s ready to do good. That’s all three boxes ticked right there.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: can we please go back to the days when we were just content to enjoy the show together?
It’s not change that I hate. I like change! I WELCOME CHANGE! …But man this episode’s ending was a complete cop-out!
I mean, Sunset went to a lot of hell just to earn her redeption to everyone’s eyes, and Starlight gets scotch-free?
That’s what bothers me. That’s what I hated of what could have been the BEST season Finale but ended the worst.
…Still, I give it credit, it might have ended like an IDW comic, but the rest of it was fantastic.
This… This is more like Mass Effect 3: Great until the end ruins it.
@PonyPon
>Finally realising just how powerful friendship is, that she doesn’t need to throw it all away, and learning to trust and befriend ponies again
>”It didn’t reform him that much”

@ChuymaruZ
Aaaaaah! Change! (waves arms about in a cartoonish manner)
@441TheSecond
What deaths of millions? What the hell are you talking about? Do you mean the deaths that are implied to have occurred in the alternate timelines?
Well Christ, pardon me while I go hang myself because there’s probably an alternate me who paved the way for World War III to break out!
