Aaawww, I’m being chided by an oversensitive BP for pointing out the obvious. Brings back fond memories of… pretty much ever.
Since you asked so politely (without actually reading the thread to see why it earned the drama in the comments tag, apparently) he was starting shit by choosing a ship– any ship– to illustrate the straight tag instead of one of the (admittedly few) actual canon hetero couples in the show, because shipping– any shipping– is absolutely 100% guaranteed to generate vast quantities of intensely stupid arglebargle. The fact that he admits outright that he originally intended to use Flashlight, the single biggest shitshow-generating ship on the site, to illustrate this tag– and that he went on to use it in another frequently-spoilered tag after all– makes it preeeeetty obvious that starting shit was in fact his goal. He’s a Site Assistant; he’s supposed to be one of the grownups around here, and instead he’s chosen to deliberately instigate two threads full of flailing ninnyism in such a way that people who were trying to keep from having to look at images they knew would get on their nerves are now in perpetuity going to be forced to look at different images that are highly likely to get on their nerves.
