Look, first, if you see a steaming pile of dog crap on your door step, would you try to make a sculpture out of it? I doubt it, so they have as much motivation to do so with flash.
 
Second, even if you do come up with some sort personality thing for flash to make him more appealing to you, it’s still just your head canon and fantasies and doesn’t count a bit to the canon, last word is always behind hasbro and DHX.
 
And personally I don’t see any potential in flash, he has nothing unique about him, and the “potential” some people see in him could be applied to any blank state character.

Never was a fan of the “Ladies man” thing unless it was being subverted or the character was unaware of it.
 
As for the first part; Yeah. I was trying to forget about that(mostly because I find it pathetic) It’s a good thing people such as DM, Pauly, and Thejoyboy are here(and myself, albeit, to a far lesser extent) They see the potential Flash has and take full advantage of it.

it’s more of trying to appease an crowd that’s set a very high bar to fulfill.
 
it’s interesting to see what they will do to make them change their minds (hated characters being rescued from the hate is not a rare thing but still tricky to do).
 
that and it’s probably not in the cards that they’ll do anything significant with them (both versions) anytime soon unless they HAVE to address that particular problem.

haters opinion doesn’t count. constructive critics does. And for me, he would be exactly the opposite of what the haters think (i don’t care that much for him, just a little bit. but i do hate haters, any kind of them)

true but most haters don’t want DHX to waste any screentime on him (usual justification is he’s a lost cause/create a more interesting character).
 
as is, i’m more willing he be yamcha’ed (important/relevant in dragonball regressed to near useless in z/super) than be launch’ed (minor character in dragonball, author plain FORGOT about her in z. not written-off, FORGOTTEN.).

they didn’t explored his pony version yet. All we know is that he’s a royal guard, then maybe there’s still hope to him to be a more likeble character IF they reduce the clichê to 5% and make him just a little bit more serious than Soarin for example. It’s easy to make him charismatic

at my case I just want fun, I dont hate flash anymore… just.. he is one of my least favorites characters and I hate most of the background characters (especially that retarded horse) and more funny thing I prefer flashimmer than flashlight

It’s not like the fan base hasn’t done this before with background and secondary characters. So, why not Flash? Because of Flashlight? Because you don’t feel like you should? Because you don’t want? Because it’s easier to moan about him instead of making him a better character??? What is the reason for this? I legit want to know.
 
And for those of you who, for some mind boggling reason, find it necessary to spam every single Flash related pic; just stop, Please. It is now nor has it ever been funny. It’s just sad.
 
TL;Dr; People need to focus their energy on fixing him than complaining about him.

I agree that Sombra was wasted potential. What they did with him in The Cutie Remark was alright, but I would have wanted him to be fleshed out more in the first place. As for Flash, I don’t hate him. He’s just kind of there. I do kind of wish they did more with him. I don’t hate Equestria Girls either. I think the first one is average. I kind of wish the scene that Flash would have gotten for Slice of Life wasn’t cut.
