The reason Pinkie shows up is that every color that isn’t pink is desaturated here. Therefor Pinkie gets the full color treatment.
 
The exception to the rule are eyes and cutie marks, of course. But other than that, the farther the color is from pink, the less it will show up, the closer it is the more it will show up.
 
For example, the reason that Mascara pops so much is because she’s red. At least I’m pretty sure she’s red.

It occurs to me, Twilight’s aim might be better if she didn’t always close her eyes when she fires.
 
Anyway, Twi, the problem is that you need to update googlemagicmaps. Your crystal iTable should come with a ‘MyApps’ icon on the base. Tap that then select GMM. It’ll ask you for your password or hoofprint, click ‘accept’ after you get to the EULA and it’ll update automatically and restart. Then your magic map should be ready to go! You can also turn on automatic updates by going into settings.
