Star Wars Rebels always counted as canon (unless and until some other future retcon happens), as does any other material published after Disney bought Lucasfilms - books, comics, etc. The Clones Wars cartoons are also canon in the new universe as well as, of course, the films. Everything else exists in a state of ‘it could have still happened’ until they produce something that explicitly removes it (so Jacen and Jaina and all that are definitely gone, for example, but Thrawn might still have existed until they say otherwise).
