You’re grossly overthinking this naming process – none of this explanation justifies an unwieldy, obtuse, highly masculine name like Bunsen.
 
Besides, she doesn’t look like a bunny, she looks like a bat, and it’s clear from what you’ve told me that she’s kind of silly (i.e. batty)
 
Batty would fit the show setting and character an awful lot more than Bunsen

Wow…I wasn’t even thinking of that when I thought of the name….I was just remembering this scene from The Big Bang Theory when Sheldon had a bunsen burner and thought of a clever pun.

Bunsen is what I’d name a car, not a dragon, especially not a female dragon.
 
She would most likely have a quickly tossed-out fire-dragon-themed name like Cinder or Swoop.
