Well the ref sheet has him with a White coat and Brown hair. The only reason the color is different here is due to the tint of the fire. ^^

Even if you didn’t, there are color palette similarities. Cream(ish) coat? Check. Dark red mane and tail? Check (if only because of reflected firelight).
