Alternate title: “Fingers are a Mare’s Best Friends.” :P

Don’t mind the smudginess of this; it’s not really done. I need to make up my mind about who this is. Initially I was going with Princess Etherea, Princess Cadence’s daughter. She would be an alicorn because I needed a pony capable of absurdly powerful magic, didn’t want to use Twilight Sparkle (her personailty just would not work!), and didn’t feel right about manifesting another unicorn who just so happened to be as powerful as Twilight. Yes, I know how people feel about OC alicorns. However, I like them. Give me free reign over pony characters and I naturally gravitate toward alicorns.

Then I started drawing her hair, and she ended up looking a lot like Rarity. Rarity doesn’t quite fit the bill nearly so dramatically as “Cadence’s daughter,” but she could with some substantial tweaking. Her personality might work, sans the whining, and I’d have to give her a serious power boost over what we’ve seen in the show. I’m not sure I like this option for three reasons:

1: I need a pony with a phone capable of texting. None of this exists in the show, so I think I need a pony set in the future.
2: I have this weird aversion to playing other people’s character’s for them. Rarity is Tabitha Saint Germain’s, and I don’t like the idea of assigning words and deeds to her character.
3: I like alicorns.
