The only one where you could see it if they had them would be Dash, due to her angle. Maybe Flutters if they’re drawn big enough.
Why would she even… Actually this could make sense…
”Ew! What is this puddle!?”
“Sorry, Starlight Glimmer, I lost control.”
“…The spell shouldn’t do that, unless… Wait a second… How long have you been holding it?”
“About ten hours, Starlight Glimmer.”
“Why didn’t you use the bathroom!? Lemme guess, ‘because I didn’t tell you to’?”
“Yes, Starlight Glimmer.”
“Fine, to all of you - go to the bathroom before you lose control!”
A few hours later, she finds another puddle in the bathroom.
“What is this! I - I can’t believe it!… Ugh… You know what, I’ll just have them diaper themselves and change themselves, that’ll solve this unambiguously…“
@PonyPon
I meant where starlight is now is not too for off from say, season 1 mane six. I mean, Twilight was kind of a know-it-all with a slight control problem, Rainbow Dash, despite being loyal, was inconsiderate of others feelings (and every once in a while still is. Just look at 28 Pranks Later), Rarity was a tiiiiny bit of a snob, Pinkie Pie didn’t know how or when to back off or be serious, Fluttershy couldn’t be within ten feet of someone without turning into a mouse half the time, and Applejack……….Well I can’t really think of anything wrong with her in earlier seasons. That’s not too different from Starlight, who is so reliant an magic as a safety net, she doesn’t think about the consequences. Rewatch the first two seasons and you’ll see what I mean.
Starlight is someone who needs help. A lot of help even. Not someone who needs to be kicked to the curb. If she didn’t care about changing or screwing up, THEN I can see where the haters are coming from. But that’s not the case. So everyone is just giving her grief for making a lot of mistakes even though it make sense given her background and lack of knowledge for this sort of thing.
@MegaAnimationFan
I don’t mean I find her relatable; I find her less endearing and more concerning with every other appearance. But she’s complex, and I admire how many risks the show’s taking with her.
@MegaAnimationFan
I don’t think many in this fandom will relate to the more significant flaws she has.
And I don’t think you’re giving the mane six enough credit to compare their start to Starlight’s starting level. That’s practically an insult, the degrees of difference.
@PonyPon
See, leaving comments like that doesn’t help. I’ve come across people who feel like it’s somehow wrong to like her or something.
And besides, I thought this fandom loves flawed characters who mess up a lot. it’s more relatable because we all go through it. And like I’ve said, she’s still learning because she is still very new to this whole thing. She not very experienced in normal social interactions (a lot like the main six way back when) so of course she gonna make a ton of mistakes. Just be patient. She’ll come around.
@The Walhi Llama
Well, that’s good to hear. Thanks for not holding that against me.:)
@PonyPon
I’ve come across some bigots here and there. Trust me…
@Thrond
That’s one the numerous reasons why I like her too. She’s oddly enough the most human (for lack of a better term) out of many of the characters. It is very interesting to see her struggle and come to terms with her flaws and try to fix them. I kinda go through the same thing, so there ya go….
@MegaAnimationFan
Y’know, a big reason for me liking Starlight is because she has serious issues. I feel like she’s more consistent with not considering how her actions affect others than anyone else we’ve seen; “Lesson Zero” was a mostly isolated incident, while this is turning into a defining trait of her character. So, yeah, I feel that it kinda is that bad, but that’s what makes Starlight interesting.
@MegaAnimationFan
Sure, we all lose our heads to passion every once in a while.
I know I’ve made an ass out of myself more than a few times.
The thing is to not take it personally, and we’ll all still be friends in the morning.
@The Walhi Llama
Am I?
Even after I tried so desperately to stop such stupid bigotry just for it to severally backfire, thus making an ass outta myself ?…..
@The Walhi Llama
Look, it’s been almost year and everyone is still anal about her, and I’m tired of trying to at least get people to understand. You’d be like this too if there was a character you liked but everyone else hates and refuses to let it go, give credit where credit is due, and back off. It’s a lost cause.
@PonyPon
Well, like I said. She was overwhelmed and didn’t think it through. None of the mane characters are innocent of this. In fact, EVERYONE is guilty of this.
Ugh! Why do I even bother? It’s not like my opinion matters to anyone on this site. Nobody sees like how I do, or even how the writers intended. I just thought I could possibly add my own two cents so people can at least see it in a different point of view and see that’s it’s really not as bad as it seems. But it seems like I’m wasting everyone’s time including my own. And I’m sorry for that. I’ll just stop bugging you guys and just go about my business.
