Who says we’re losing hope? We just don’t like the way this was executed. Flash learning to let go would’ve been if it was expanded upon more or at least had him talk to PonyTwi once more.
 
We’re just disappointed, that’s not the same a losing hope or giving up.

I don’t trust the writer much, after promising that we’d “love Flash after this movie”, they simply dropped him into the background and repeatedly shoved the TimberTwi ship in our faces to the point where it felt forced.

Actually, yeah. Because from what Ishi said on twitter about “Liking Flash more after this film”, it was expected a bigger development and probably a more fleshed out romance between him and Scitwi… And instead they put a Replacement Goldfish that was shipped with her just to please the “Anti-Flash” haters and shove him to the background just to be the butt of the joke once again.
And this scene… It just… It shows they have learnt nothing and instead of making a compelling pairing, they made an absolutely forced mess.
 
Now I don’t HATE Timber, I hate the fact that everyone keeps on overglorifying him. Seriously, Flash get enough hate from the fandom as it is, pulling this stunt simply encourages that hate.

I fear the same thing, actually. What if Timber doesn’t have anything to do outside of Camp Everfree? I trust the writers to find a way, but it is something worth worrying about.

Glad you think so, let’s start over. Let’s start with this “There are some things you just need to accept. This is happening.” That’s true it’s absolutely true but the same thing was said about Flash he was there now we had to accept him and some of us did but then nothing came of it and he’s been practically discarded, what’s stopping from this character from going down the same road especially when we already had a character that filled this role?

Holy shit, you’re right. I am so sorry. I’m really sleepy and I’m still running off of excitement from seeing the movie. It was quite a rush.
 
Your issues are legit. I wish Flash Sentry would be given some development instead of being given a metaphorical beating.
 
Still, I recommend that you lay off the sarcasm. It eats into your critique, makes it harder for people to take you seriously… unless you’re just having fun.

Fair enough. I know what it’s like to let negative feelings build up. I just try not to let them out on the internet, that’s a rookie mistake. I prefer to discuss them with my friends or channel it into constructive critique.

I’ve said Flash isn’t very good so it’s not what I personally want it’s in the name of quality because adding a character then doing nothing with him is not quality it’s the opposite of it and if you don’t like my “ramblings” stop reading my comments.

Yeah because falling in love at first sight is so much better than Flash I mean it took at least 2 encounters for them to start liking each other and that’s WAY TOO LONG, obviously it should have been like this from the beginning with instant love and no interaction whatsoever.

But running around in circles is what the writers are best at. Why develop an existing character when you can just start the cycle all over again, who needs to put effort into their writing when they can just make a new even worse character? I mean that’s how the show got so popular right? They replaced the characters from season 1 with new characters instead of developing the old ones further right… right?

I actually really liked them together. Their relationship had screen presence, which I never felt with Flash. Flash was always just there, saying the right things. Timber added to the story and was more involved in the climax than Flash ever was, and he and Twilight really connected.
