I remember her making a bigger cloud that scorched the ursa’s behind. Sure it did nothing against the giant bear, but a small pony would get fried. Trixie summoned it without even trying, imagine what she could do with more focus and effort. Your dashie couldn’t react fast enough to stop her spells, got humiliated and outclassed as a result.

Don’t remember Trixie wielding any fire spells to “fry” somepony. And Dash surpasses her in both speed and reaction so much that, provided she was expecting troubles from the start, Rainbow wouldn’t give her time to finish her boast, let alone cast anything nasty!
