I’m saying go the Batman and Superman route, and have two characters with the same goal with different philosophy and views. Have Celestia (I’m a bit bias since she’s my favorite Princess) believe in trust and peace through allies, while Crissy is domination and conquering her foes. Same goal, different paths.

I don’t believe she can do a good job on that…Just protect country from threat alone isn’t how to rule the kingdom…Threat isn’t the only problem country have…Economy, Laws, Lands, Politic, Military etc. Their are so much that ruler much do. And I don’t believe that a Changeling who rule a starvation race, in the badlands, with no nation ally and never study in any university or get access to knowledge, so low on rule time experience can do that best.
 
I believe in Celestia. She is a good ruler to me…Because the Equestria we see in the show right now is the proof. It is a result of her hard work. For 1000 years that she rule Equestria alone, prevent any great war, make ally with so many race, expend the lands to far from top to the south,caring for Pony from noble to present, 1000 years experience, 100 years of knowledge. She manage that all. She can deal the threat in her own way. She don’t kill villain. But make friend with them…That is the real force of her. Discord, mane6, Starlight, Crystal Pony and now Changeling…Her way of friendship make friend with them and make her kingdom more stronger!
 
If she can’t do a good job dealing with threat. Than how could she make Equestria survive fro 1000 years without Element Of Harmony or mane6?
 
It’s true that fail to fight Chrysalis and many foe, got captured several time. But that because she is ruler…She isn’t fighter and great wizard…What her best is ruling and teaching. So she stick herself with that. Doing what she do best while let other do other thing. She know how to manage people and let’s them do what they good.

You could try to have her do the things for her children, and sees the only true way to protect them is to conquer and/or enslave any and everyone that poses a threat to them and give them a supply of food in the process.

I don’t mind at all if Chrysalis be a villain in canon show. It’s her role for story. Story need to have a villain to entertain watcher after all. Most of my story keep Chrysalis being good because I’m not good to write her in bad, that all.
 
And after watching the last episode. I’m happy that she still keep being villain. I want her to be bad forever…If being mean that she have to become that colorful thing…She is only true Changeling we have right now. If she change. Than we will not have any true Changeling left in the show…black Changeling will completly dead from the canon. And was replaced by something that share their race name…

Oh, well, she is doing this with the best of intentions, part of the story is going to be the wrestling with “is this good?” and the morality of “taking control to protect.”
 
Chrysalis herself will struggle with this demon. There is about to be one event that cements her path and resolve both.

You are right. A clever and somewhat “protective of ponies” Chrysalis would, and in the story, she does.

Chrysalis looks positively cute in this. I’d love this pic if it wasn’t for the theme.
 
So, has anyone read the story and can give an opinion on it? Or maybe about the author?

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to realize that Queen Chrysalis has had vision problems all this time, but doesn’t wear her corrective lenses because she thinks it makes her look less intimidating.

Couldn’t she bring it up to Celestia, and do what hackers do with Google and help them protect their company and informing the owner/s what they find?

That’d make an interesting story for sure

I doubt this fic has any make-out scenes, but… Er, I’ve just forgotten what I was going to say. XD
