Anyways, decided to go back and re-“read” Fallout: Equestria. As in: I got it on audiobook to listen to while I do work and shit. Got up to and past the chapter with Stable 24 and this is what came to mind.
Littlepip: I need to point out why Starswirl can’t even rule the country but Celestia did it for 1000 years! Stallions can’t lead!
Calamity: That’s sexist!
I heard Fallout Equestria is a universe where mares are extremely sexist against stallions, due to being a bold matriarchy. On the other hand, griffons are patriarchy, but I don’t know about their gender politics.
@Exedrus
Stable 99 was dominated by mares before that because stallions started an insurrection long before Blackjack was born, and were put in their place. It’s downfall is entirely unrelated.
I’ve chosen to call this new species “chimera” for what I feel are suitably obvious reasons. The creature is a result of a wild magical burst from a rather exceptionally gifted filly named Quanta. In a flash of uncontrolled magical power, Quanta managed to fuse several creatures within her vicinity into a single being – a fully functional and completely new life form.

>As for Stable 99, the stallions revolted against the proper order of things…
I don’t think that was the catalyst for the Stable’s downfall. IIRC, the stable fell because Deus’ army of raiders brought their virus in, which inevitably led to the majority of the stable’s occupants transforming into insane murderers. Deus got in because the overmare had become incredibly paranoid, to the point where she was willing to trust ponies from outside her Stable who claimed to be from StableTec. And, arguably that was the result of her mother (the previous overmare) sexually abusing her when she was young, an act which pretty much everyone turned a blind-eye to due to the overmare’s near absolute power. (grimdark)
As for Stable 99, the stallions revolted against the proper order of things, proving they need to be closely watched or they’ll get the notion they can be trusted with an equal say in matters. And Stable 99 gave them everything they needed: plenty of food, mares to have some fun with, free healthcare. Was that not enough for them? Did they really need anything else?
@Thecokeman2
Pretty much. Equestria is in a war and the Stables are to save its population from nuclear destruction. And all that some stallions think about is social experiments. Don’t they know their place is in the war factories and on the battlefield? Not in office, making all the hard decisions?
Let’s be rational, Stable 24 was designed for this politically correct experiment with patriarchy, and it failed. Really, nothing more needs to be said than ‘stallions ruin everything’.
“So I hear you like ministries and the long-term consequences of two-hundred year old shadow political policy. Let’s crank it to eleven, and then to thirteen.”
You put a mare in charge, you get nukes
You put a stallion in charge, you get chryssalids (I’m serious, read the fic)
There’s no situation where ponies come out on top
Put a stallion in power and all of a sudden you get meme-tier conspiracies and threads of intrigue spanning the length and breadth of the Illuminati in the multiverse.

Oh, oops. I misread your initial comment.

>Bet it was a colt who did it.
It was a filly named Quanta. From Chapter 5:

Edited because: Better spacing; adding spoilers
Not getting murdered by their moms because they wanted a girl?
Also as a note, Stabletec was run by mares.
Edited because: addendum
Booze with Blackjack and Hookers
Bet it was a colt who did it.

More like Men fight and females take care of the young.
Didn’t 24 fail because a unicorn foal flared and accidentally created a xenomorph?
Also, if you want to talk about a Stable being screwed by gender bias, I have one for you: 99.

So SJW Stable?
Or something?

Nukes and chrysalis? I like your style, going out with a bang is the only way to go.
Then why not herm?
Both.
