I’m kind of “meh” about some of his episodes, but I do like the guy. Plus he’s a massive troll, which I have to respect. Seeing him counting money during his appearances on “Bronies React” was hilarious.

Hear, hear. I know that people have been split about M.A. Larson ever since Magical Mystery Cure, but I personally love his episodes. He might even be one of my favourite writers, next to Dave Polsky and Amy Keating Rogers.

They handled this episode really well. When Moondancer started crying, a little piece of my soul died.

This episode was wonderful.

Headcanon for me.  
Moondancer has a crush on Twilight. The look on her face when Twilight hugs her seems to be like “Is she really hugging me?”  
“She really is!”  
and then Moondancer hugs back with a warm feeling in her heart.

Treehugger had similarly bushy brows that were always visible.
 
I like my ponies having eyebrows all the time and not just when making faces, so I approve of it.

The hesitancy with which Moondancer accepts the hug is what makes this scene.
 
Twilight hurt her. Badly. She doesn’t have to accept Twilight’s apology - in fact she’s got plenty of reasons not to. But she does anyway, because that’s better than stewing in hatred and self-loathing for another four and a half two years.

Did anypony else notice how fer once, eyebrows were clearly defined as more than just an expressive animation feature?

This was just perfect. D’aaaww.

I love how confident Twilight is. She has hugged lots of ponies.

What Twilight was thinking as Moondancer hesitantly reached out her hoof: “You ain’t getting off that easy buster.” HUGGIES!

If OP feels like creating more gifs, I would love to see the moment after this:  
 
When Twilight stands in the middle of the street realizing what she has done and starts to cry (and Spike asks if she’s okay).  
And the moment before this:  
 
With Pinkie sitting backwards while Twilight’s expression is screaming “ohshitohshitohshit…”

Next to the hesitant hug, I also love how they wipe their tears from their eyes in synchrony :’)
