Quite often very talented people a very vulnerable to other things.  
IMO Starlight has very vulnerable, childlike mind, which an obvious downside for such power.

I miss when MLP was about making friends not powerlevels.

Personally that might have been due to Starlight being used to showoff some neat spells in S6. Given that Twi is teaching her and she was doing them specifically to impress Twilight it isn’t hard to believe Twilight taught her the crazy stuff like the speed clones.
 
I’d say the two are more or less magic equals at this point.

I’ve yet to see something that convinces me that Alicorn!Twilight is actually more powerful than Unicorn!Twilight in any ways. Last time I checked, the later one at least was perceptive and resourceful enough not to fall victim of Chrysalis so easily…

I would say Starlight was more powerful than Twilight unicorn, Twilight special talent is more likely that she is good at any type of magic but not most powerful. But in mlp power is so inconsistent

Unicorn Twilight, which was below alicorn Twilight, which honestly is feeling below Starlight.

Eh, Power levels are BS anyways. It’s how ya use it that matters.

Well, this would put Sunset quite a bit below Starlight in terms of power level since most agree that Starlight is roughly Twilight’s equal. Bit disappointing.
