Imagine this though. Pinkie Pie singing randomly when RD is trying to sleep. Pinkie being sad when RD doesn’t like pie. RD being jealous about Pinkie’s ability to bend reality and trying to do it herself, getting herself hurt. Pinkie being jealous of Gilda’s friendship with Gilda, and yelling at her, infuriating RD. Rainbow trying to find a place where she won’t have to listen to Pinkie constantly;she’s already tried telling Pinkie that their conversations were to Pinkie-centered one-way, but Pinkie didn’t understand. Pinkie knowing that RD doesn’t listen much when she talks, and being sad when Rainbow explicitly says she talks too much. Doesn’t sound very happy.

Now picture this. Flutters and RD making jokes together. RD protecting Shy on nightmare night. Flutters making Shy soup when she’s sick. The two talking about tortoises together. RD and sky flying in the wind, high above the clouds, with Flutters scared but exilerated, the blue and yellow pegasi holding onto each other as RD propels them into a beautiful sonic rainboom. Fluttershy making up a good-luck song for RD for whenever RD has to preform with the wonderbolts. Doesn’t that sound more like it should?
