Excuse you? Have you not been reading the entire comic?!
Let me lay it out for you:
Billy constantly bullied and harassed RD for shits and giggles. Purposely got her kicked of the elite team by lying to his uncle. Then it got to a point where he was more than likely to going to humiliate her if I didn’t show up with someone. It wasn’t HER faulte turned out to be a pervert.
Not to mention constantly trying to mess with her even when he has no reason to.
Then he overhears Rainbow and Firefly getting close and lovey, and tries to deflect all guilt when Gilda rightfully calls him out on eavesdropping. Over the course of one chapter, he provokes Gilda into hitting him, plays himself up as the victim when she attempts to do so, makes her feel guilty, and works in several insults toward Rainbow including what could easily be considered a homophobic remark and starts actively trying to convince Gilda to cut ties with her. She lets this all go and even seems ready to have sex with him about two seconds later, after he makes a hollow promise to give Dash another try at friendship.
And in RD & Firefly’s defense, they’re using it to train to be better. They’re not using it to play around or anything; they just want to be the best they can be for their school since the coach hasn’t much clue to coach the JV team since they don’t have a cloud to use of their own. So really, it’s their fault they want to be better but it will certainly be Billy’s fault that the school lost their MVPs (Most Valued Ponies) and be replaced with newbies and get de-ranked or whatever how school teams are ranked or known. And worst bit is about it: Billy can destroy the school’s dream team and no one will know it was him and he won’t even raise a hoof to say about it and just simply have a smug smile and pat himself on the back knowing he ruined everyone’s dream like the pathetic jerk he is.
Billy is NOT 100% right in this scenario, if anything most of this was HIS FAULT.
