The fandom is dead, that’s why it’s the last ever. Since the vast majority of artists included draw porn for life, they cannot afford wasting time on projects that yield no-to-little profit.
 
At least Megasweet is participating; he’s the daddio who started it all.
 
PS. I also blame Patreon as well. It turned what was hobby into a job for a lot of people.

Currently working on the tumblr entry but, and since you asked, I’ll provide a quick answer here.
 
We’ve been organizing My Little Sweetheart for the past few years and had, from time to time, though of ending the series on a particular iteration. The decision to end on this particular iteration came after a number of factors.
 
This is not say there won’t be more humanized pony projects - its just that this will be the last MLS title
 
Unless, MLP:FiM had an actual final season. Which is unlikely.But the final MLS is being made to coincide with something else coming out this year
