I’m going to have to disagree about Trixie.  
To me, before her interactions with Starlight, she was just another the kind of antagonist that puts up a big fount as if they can do more they they actully can, and then when they get shown up they vow to come back and it results in the basically the same thing again.  
She was less then a second-rate villain.  
When she first runs into Starlight we then get some reasoning for her actions, she starts to get depth.  
And the thing is, all the other where sick of her shit, as shown with how Twi first reacted to Starlight being friend with her.  
So no new pony in the spot light, no depth for Trixie.

Nothing about how Twilight’s role in the show has been as a de facto first-among-equals (and sometimes outright leader) of a cohesive group of mutual friends, or about how her mentor was mostly used as a plot device who appeared in bit parts maybe 3 or 4 times a season?

Then lets define “replace” here; Twilight originally was a student of an alicorn sent to learn about friendship and deal with problems/conflicts that happen throughout the show with the friends she’s made. Twilight now is the alicorn, which was interesting until the writing staff realized they didn’t know what to do with her as an alicorn. Enter Starlight. Twilight becomes what Celestia was, and Starlight becomes new Twilight. While this could have been interesting, it has been poorly executed.
 
As I’ve said before, Starlight should have been dealt with as a second-rate villain, then left to fall into obscurity, and Trixie ( a far more interesting character with more depth and history) should have filled the roll of problem solving student learning about friendship.

Although it would take years to find out, I’d offer you $1000 if Starlight actually replaced Twilight if you’d agree to give me $50 if she never did. Though I’d insist on explicitly spelling out the definition of “replace” before starting.

You haven’t noticed how twilight is in the show less and less, and now is relegated to bit parts? Or how Starlight is shoehorned in more and more?

No. Starlight was the least interesting of all the villains by an enormous margin, and is doesn’t compare to the main 6 in anyway at all. Why the writers chose her of all possible characters to force into the show is baffling. Trixie would have been a better character to add into a primary role of the show.

I didn’t mind spongebob. He had his moments, although it was usaully the side characters that actually made me laugh.
 
On the other hand, I always found the Warners to be kinda…creepy. Don’t get me wrong, It’s a good show but the main chatacters were remorseless career destroying, sanity crushing, life ruining monsters. God help you if you ever drew their attention.

I personally despised SpongeBob Squarepants and Animaniacs when I was a kid. I only watched them if there was nothing to watch. I don’t see the appeal even now, despite all fans claiming they have “adult bonuses”. Though I admit SpongeBob screencaps and gifs make good reaction images.

He was really annoying for the kids back in the day. Scooby doo was pretty atmospheric for the time and the heroes were loveable and relateable. And then here comes scrappy with his annoying voice and overbearing personality, always getting Scooby into trouble and replacing three well liked characters. He completely changed the tone of the show and got way to much attention at the expense of other characters.
 
It’s alright for us, we know what to expect and aren’t as attached to that show. But My dad? He still Hates scrappy and always will.

Phantom Menace yeah it actually tried to BE something, TFA is just soulless and frankly Starkiller base is dumber than ANYTHING in the prequels.

Eh, the next one might be better if it starts carving out it’s own identity and explains at least a litle bit of the lore. But the guy who wrote Lost is the head of the creative team so I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Say what you will about the Prequels, At least Lucas was willing to try something new and actually explain shit. Why would I watch the force awakens when I can watch the much better movie it’s Ripping off-oops, I mean homaging.
