It’s probably just Twilight starting up a friendship academy. That’s the academy, Twilight’s the principle and her friends are the teachers. We’re gonna see a bunch of new characters show up to learn friendship-fu from the masters.
FOR GOD’S SAKE, “SPREAD YOUR WINGS” IS A COMMON METAPHOR FOR GOING OUT IN THE WORLD. WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP ACTING LIKE IT’S FORESHADOWING FOR ALICORN STARLIGHT? THAT IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF REACHING AND SEEING THINGS THAT AREN’T THERE.
At this point I’m not trigger anymore if Starlight or anypony becomes alicorn. The only characters boost her powers with their wings were Sunset in Friendship games and Flurry Heart. If Starlight is alicorn, her magic powers will be same or even nerf and Twilight will take the important decisions yet.
Yes, it is possible that this is just a consulate or something, and that the stained glass window is actually of Twilight and not Starlight. But I think that’s even more unlikely.
Building color scheme is similar to Starlight
Starlight’s been gradually built up since season six to basically be the new Twilight
She’s even better than Sunset when it comes to friendship and advice according to Mirror Magic
She’ll undoubtedly save the say in “Shadow Play”, and Celestia’s words / prediction all the way back at the start of the season will come true
And before anyone says “Well, Starlight was in the trailer for the movie and she was normal there so you’re wrong” remember that the movie a) was in planning and production for years b) is being aired before season seven ends and c) has nothing to do with season seven.
It’s only a possibility but it seems more and more likely all the time with each new tidbit of info we get.
Equestria Girls going YouTube-only means it’s very unlikely there’ll be any crossover event again with FiM, Mirror Magic was probably all we’re going to get

People just assumed it predicts Alicorn Starlight because the image itself is of poor quality. Can’t really fault them for thinking what they thought based on THAT, can you?
Ok, number 1, the stain glass thing looks nothing like Starlight. So lets just get that out of the way.
Number 2. It’s just a promotional image. Who knows if this location is really in S8. It could be a hotel resort for all you know. It looks nothing like some kind of royal castle.
