Umm aren’t ponies covered in fur too? I mean if you want to get technical they are just a furry as any of the others.

And yet people somehow don’t want to acknowledge the fact that he indeed is an anthro cat, there is a bunch of art with him tagged either with noting that would specify which form or with semi-anthro.
 
Well, we have digitigrade anthro tag which is NOT aliased to anthro so it’s the most neutral thing at the moment.
