Everyone else seems to love Fizzy here, but I honestly don’t find her anywhere near as sympathetic as Sunset or Starlight. Slightly less than Stygian, actually.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand The Doing Hurtful things meme. The feelings are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical relationships most of the issues will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also the mares depressed outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Fimfiction literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these Memes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Doing Hurtful things truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the drama in the mares existential catchphrase “I can’t be alone again!” which itself is a cryptic reference to the viewing bronie’s crippling lack of girlfriends. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Derpiboorus genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools… how I pity them. 😂
