Cut to this actually happening in the showing ending in Fluttershy limping and crying because the writers can do whatever they want.

We’ve seen these ponies take some pretty harsh falls and eventually wobble right back up so a short fall from out a tree shouldn’t do to much damage to flutters beyond maybe busted nose and ear.

I like to think she’s doing a “Fly Away Home” thing, and preparing to teach a bunch of baby flying squirrels to glide on their own. :-)
