To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Toxic-Mario’s comic. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of how he does his stuff most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Derpy’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation – her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny – they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Toxic-Mario’s comics truly ARE idiots – of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Toxic’s repeated use of nonexistant punchlines which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Toxic’s genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools… how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Derpfire tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid.

If you say so. I don’t see that as long as I continue to enjoy making pony and in the end that should be what matters most.

I can’t find any rational reason that makes you think it will be fine. You’re going downhill with you art.

Same old me. The most common trope for people these days that have no idea how I do stuff. Yup…but you know what people will suck it up for a while on this style but it will even out again. People hate any change at first it will be fine in the end.

You have no clue how ratings actually do indicate a lot. I’m not talking about you and other artists. I’m talking about you only. You get less views and faves than you used to. Do you know why? Because people are put off by your recent comics and they stop following you. Most popular YT videos have a lot of faves. But if any video from a popular YouTube has a lot of negative votes too, you know it’s poorly received. Didn’t you notice that fewer and fewer people comment on your pictures?
Anyway, there’s no way to convince you. Data analysis, friends, haters, nothing can convince you. It’s always you and you being the right one only. Anything else is “dumb” and “stupid” because you say so. Discussing with you is a great test of one’s patience. But I don’t actually care what you’re gonna do. It’s just my inner voice convincing me to do something good, to help you out but okay, I get it, you’ll stubbornly do things your way while talking stupid stuff about how you want to improve, how your art is months old and how many obstacles you had. Same old Tox.

You do know people don’t have to favorite stuff if they look at it. Idk how that has any merit. That’s like saying if someone gets 10000 hits on something and 9000 people don’t favorite it then their ratio is still bad at 10:1. 10%….assuming that…that doesn’t look good now does it? That is a dumb argument to make as if stats make you a bad artist. That’s like saying a great artist with 500 hits and 14 favorites who’s relatively unknown must suck regardless.

Of course #s will be down too this time of the year too…school ring a bell?

@Toxic-Mario
And anyone can see your talking about some “stirring” and “digging” is basically your way to derail any discussion about your art :/
If you can’t listen to specific people, friends, “haters”, then just look at your DeviantART statistics. You keep getting less and less views, and your fave-to-views ratio is going down even faster ever since you adopted your new “style”. But I know you’re going to just say it’s just “silly people downvoting you for no reason”.

Just adding another paragraph o to one I was replying to isn’t helping anyone but confusing which one I am replying to. You clearly are hyped up right now on thia. Why not gather your thoughts into one paragraph instead of making multiple. Seriously that’s dumb…..how about you make an account.

Why are you try to dig at all? You do realize your trying to stir more up more than anything now….also nice editing the entire paragraph after I already replied to it.

You call people “silly” and “stupid” if they criticise your art so of course I assume you think of them as haters or enemies. The exact name you use in your mind is irrelevant. You are always very hostile or at least in huge denial upon seeing critique. Like Mirage Potato’s now. You’re trying to deny his critique on formalities. You’re ignoring the most important part of his posts and you focus on irrelevant issues, trying to undermine his critique.
Background Pony #5A28
@Toxic-Mario
You dramatically ignored all the critique I wrote and called me stupid. Now I’m merely questioning your poor attitude and lack of general awareness.

Idk how you can assume that I think anyome that does it i assume is hater or enemy. Seems like a great assumption there to label me as that is what I think.
Background Pony #5A28
It’s funny how you think people who give you critique are “haters” and your “enemies”. Your real enemies laugh at you in silence. They don’t want you to improve so they can laugh more.

Well I will stick to own people. Again you are doing all this typing and stuff but you are just spinning your tires on the same stuff with no real end game as where you are going. Seems like a lot of bashing….not a lot of critique yourself.

@Toxic-Mario
You ignored many friends trying to help you out.
If you choose random “trusted people” and ignore a repeated calls to fix specific things, then you are living a delusion. If you want to improve, then you can’t just ignore most of the critique you receive. You make your work public, so they create certain interest in people. Fan-artists who improve listen to various feedback not just hoof-picked people who might not even care what your art is gonna be like.

Who’s to say I have my own people I care to choose from…also how can you say I am rushing art? That is a stupid statement there with no proof as only I can tell if I am rushing.
Background Pony #5A28
Tox, you’re sending mixed signals. On one hand you say you don’t care what others think about your art but for some reason you always try to excuse yourself if you did a poor job on anything. You write three long paragraphs about every comic every week. You answer to any comment you get, you post your stuff wherever you can, you look for some kind of applause but you also refuse any suggestions both from friends and strangers. What’s with that, Tox?

That RD looked like any pony you did months ago :S
But the next one can look completely better if you fix the most visual and easiest flaws :D

Looks like your only defense now is calling me stupid, stupid, stupid, repeatedly because I’m a bg pony? Truly hilarious.
If you are busy then just take more time, delay upload if you need, DON’T RUSH ART. That’s the point. You can be busy but your attitude to go for quantity over quality is just another reason why your art looks like it looks. Take your time.
And don’t say you do art stuff “different”. There’s a fine line between doing things in a different way and doing things the wrong way. So many people told you about mistakes you make. We see you spend so much time on art, you pump out comics like mad but it’s all futile effort to “improve”. You seem to emphasize the “improve” part a lot but when someone tries to help you out, you stubbornly refuse. What’s your game, Tox? You’re an intriguing person. Maybe that’s why some people actually care about what and how you’re doing.
By the way, if you know 6-10 people who regularly visit your streams and I tell you I see you work on your streams regularly, then you could figure something out by now.
