Really though, they were probably like Golums. Shells that are just literal “mirror copies”. They were reflections, not individuals.

we saw the other side of the lake it was mostly the same from the immediate area can’t say anything about anywhere else though, it could be that around the lake was all there was on that side

…Where DID the clones come from? Is there a pocket dimension inside the lake? Was the lake partially sentient and those were extensions of its conciousness?

I don’t think that the others were less intelligent, they were just never in a situation where they had to make a choice between different activities. After the cloning spree, there were always enough to go around.

Well of course they had emotion, thought, a certain amount of individuality, and intelligence they’d be pretty shitty clones otherwise :/
