Seems like every cartoon, or animated movie relies too much on hyperactive meta self-aware humor nowadays. I think it’s to make them more appealing to all ages rather then just kids. Some shows like MLP:FiM seem to balance it better though.
 
Y’know, Grey is a big “Derpy fan,” and even voiced her in a fan-animation featuring her. I think it was called “Epic Rage Time.”

Yeah. It’s been done plenty of times. I also thought Unikitty’s character got exaggerated.
 
Still maybe it has some good LORE.
 
I’m glad Tara and Grey are working together again. They’re supposedly close friends.

Oh sure, she’s a Unikitty for now.  
But by the end of the third season they snap some wings onto her and the whole fandom explodes!

Just watched this preview. The humor seems like the same meta self aware style we’ve seen with “cutesy hyperactive characters who get on others’ nerves” shows, (SpongeBob being the most popular example) but it seems entertaining regardless.
 
Tara & the other voices do a good job.

Watched 2 episodes and so far, I’m getting the feeling that this show is a breath of freah air…..for now. Hell, Tara Strong along with Grey Delisle? TWO of my fave VA’s along with Kate Miccuci (Webby Vanderquack) and Roger Craig Smith (Sonic the Hedgehog 2010)?! Now THAT I can see potential.

Hope Tara can pull off a Pinkie/Bubbles hybrid with her voice then

Is Unikitty really getting her own show? With Tara voicing her?
