With any water type gym leaders that I’ll eventually get to, I want to make them like these fish ponies that Misty is. I want to base their fins and colors on pokemon they have in their teams either in the games or anime. Vaporeon is a very pretty water type, but since I try to stick with the hair and eye colors the human counterparts have I don’t think the blue colors of vaporeon’s body would’ve looked as good with Misty’s orange-red hair. Plus I don’t believe that her already-blue eyes or the cutie mark I gave her in the shape of her badge she gives would’ve stood out as well against the blue colors of a Vaporeon.

A goldeen merpony? I would have thought of vaporeon (I always thought vaporeon was the most elegant of all water pokémon, I never understood why Misty never had one on her team), but this fits her sooo well.
