Sick humor, this ain’t funny, since Twilight saved everyone’s asses. Why value a magical pearl over your own life? Good thing it didn’t ended this way. Now I questioning wether if this is your humor, you won’t deserve to have a better life other than having a precious thing that worth nothing once the chaos is over, do you?

I wouldn’t think this should’ve ended this way, because the life of every hippogriffs are bigger than just a magical pearl. Why would they be idiots like in this picture to abuse her this way after she saved everyone’s life and asses? The best way to teach her is to give her a warning and mannerisms for critical situations, that’s all.

Still less public than a trial, right? And once she’s gone, she has no means of returning on her own, so that should be the end of it. The point here is not the crime or how it’s punished, but how aware the public would be of what Twilight had done. Given the pearl’s importance, Novo might not have wanted her people to know how close they’d come to losing it; she did seem pretty big on secrecy.
 
And as a side note, even if everyone knew, they were in hiding because of the Storm King, and Twilight was a big factor in killing him. I’d think that’d buy her forgiveness. Hell, when Cadance rallied the Crystal Ponies to kill King Sombra, they gave her his throne. Compared to that, a full pardon seems like a minor thing.
