You really need to get your ears cleaned out.

Character development actually also includes learning about a character’s past.  
So take something like The Cutie Mark Cronicles… That was pretty much pure character development.

^ Fluttershy’s development is less noticeable but still there. In the first season she could only stand up for herself and ignore her fears if her friends were in imminent peril. Season two she started to face her fears for her own sake and stand up for herself more.

Fluttershy is like the opposite of character development. Shes the poster child for static characters

No matter how good your character development is, if you’re still boring, your still boring.  
Even if you are my favorite mane 6 pony.

I think only AJ and Rarity have character development.  
Twi still to overly-obssesed with order  
RD still too narcissist in a bad way  
Fluttershy still a doormat (with alot of internal issues)  
and Pinkie still Pinkie  
not that I dislike that, but make me love even more AJ and Rarity

Rarity’s consistent too. Rainbow Dash used to be, but then season 2 happened.

I did think that Twilight is the only one with consistent character development.
