Perhaps that might please the Season 1&2 purists whom prefer her without wings, but many of them are anti-EqG too soooooo… Perhaps not.
 
Meanwhile, almost everybody loves Spike getting wings. To the point, I see people whom disagree get attacked for it, so it’s almost like an opposite drama from Twilicorn.

It doesn’t look that hard, fans have been redesigning the characters for years, though maybe that’s why they stuck with the original haircuts, so they wouldn’t be accused of “fanart theft.”

The ponytail is cuter.

I don’t know, some people thinks that EqG takes place somewhere in Oragon U.S most likely near one of the ley lines, which would explain the horse statue’s platestal, being a portal to the equine dimension, which they’re nowhere near the Bermuda triangle.

Agreed. They should’ve kept their original haircuts to differentiate them from the Mane universe characters. It seems very lazy.  
Granted, Pony Twilight’s hair got longer when she became human.
