Probably we’re disappointed in her, since it was them who helped save Starlight and break Cozy’s spell to return the magic to everyone, with help from the Tree of Harmony.

I wonder, what did the Student Six think of her after they discovered her treachery?

If this had ended with Dash giving Cozy a spanking, I’d have laughed my butt.

From the looks on the Mane Six, they didn’t appreciate being led on a wild goose chase and being trapped in Tartarus with Lord Tirek and the other prisoners because of Cozy’s manipulative actions. She put all of pony-kind at risk, and now she has to pay for using her lessons on friendship against them with rotting in Tartarus for life.

To be fair: Discord WAS imprisoned in stone, untile Celestia decided ro set him free as long he used his powers for good instead of evil. Starlight admitted her mistake and was willing to accept any kind of punishment was coming for her, but Twilight offered to help her instead. Stygian wasn’t really evil, he was possessed by the darkness. Chrysalis… yes she should have been imprisoned too, and that’s yet another one of the MANY plot holes of To Where and Back Again: WHY THE HELL DIDN’T CAPTURE HER AND SEND HER TO TARTARUS INSTEAD OF LETTING HER ESCAPE? THEY HAD DISCORD WITH THEM BACK THEN, THEY COULD HAVE STOPPED HER ESCAPE SO EASELY AND JAILING HER. WHY THEY DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER?! Yeah…. TWABA is still the worst episode ever.

The other villains, maybe except Discord, had warped views of friendship. Reformation transformed what was already there. Cozy, though, outright rejects it. Remember, the unwilling can’t be saved.

Agree, If Cozy was punished, Discord, Sunset, Starlight, Chrysalis and Stygina would have the same justice, but I believe writers were as tired of reedemed villains as most of fandom

But yeah, in all seriousness, you make a good point on that last part. Though, it’s kinda hard to find said temporary punishments when you’re dealing with a filly who openly rejects what’s essentially the show’s in-world dogma.
 
…Actually, I can see an episode where they not only regain the reform spell they planned to use on Discord way back when, but show that upon use, it could be paramount to brainwashing.

I mean, yeah, but at this point there’s no reason for her to want to change. Sending someone to Pony Hell regardless of their actions and sending the princesses after them isn’t going to make them go, “hey, maybe what I did was really wrong” as much as it’s going to reinforce the grudge they already have against you. There are other, temporary punishments you could give that are a lot lighter and less harsh.

Be that as it may, she’s pretty manipulative for a child, and from what I’ve seen from spoiler clips, she doesn’t look to be shaping up anytime soon, or even showing signs of it, unless we see more of her in the next (and final) season.

That’s true, but again, MLP:FIM and PPG are two drastically different genres with drastically different settings, senses of humor, and rules for their worlds. (And PPG doesn’t have a history of redeeming villains, while MLP does.) It’s like comparing apples and oranges - they’re both types of fruits, but they’re not the same kind.

I mean, they sent Princess Morbucks - also a little girl - in prison in Powerpuff Girls. That’s what Cozy’s fate reminded me of.
