I’m sad to see it end, because I do think there are stories still left untold, but it might be better that way.
 
I await G5 with open hooves, and how I look at it all the mlp gens are alternate timelines or alternative dimensions.

Besides, if there was no such as reboots, we wouldn’t have had the G4 MLP:FiM show in the first place, and the modernized Lauren Faust style it has.
 
That said, G4 certainly is no failure.

It feels like g5 exist just to divide the fandom, then again this is not the first time Hasbro tried this and failed each time.

I don’t see how it can be, seeing as Twilight Sparkle is an earth pony in G5 now. It’s likely a reboot, or new canon, but regardless just doing continuations, and the same thing over and over don’t always work either.

All I will say for g5 it better just be a continuation of the mane 6 otherwise the show will be doom to fail, if your wondering what side I am on? I am the side that is okay but will keep my distance at first then give it a shot.

It was below Hasbro’s expectations. So they cancelled the second movie and skipped to the G5 movie.

We will see how far g5 goes, who knows it might get so much backlash they will be forced to bring back this show cough clone wars cough

I have nothing against CGI, I just feel it’s a shame 2D is basically dead in cinema. The new CGI movie will probably do better, regardless how it’s handled.  
I love many CGI movies, but I just miss 2D sometimes, as well.
 
Besides, alot of great 2D movies from the ’90s had some CGI in them too.

Who cares how it’s animated? As long as the story and characters are well-written, I wouldn’t care if it was hand-drawn, CG, claymation, anime or stop motion.
