Why are people (not just you) seeing “under Cosmos’s control” and assuming that means mind controlled rather than just incapacitated/incarcerated?

Cool cover… but I’m not sure if I like the sound of that plot.

I’m just wondering why are they doing mind control against after Dark Waters and Accord. It just feels like as a means to take the important characters out of the story.

My question is with how the covers have portrayed Cosmos nigh torturing Discord, why would choosing a side be an issue for him? Because I swear if they’re going with the abuser angle here I’m gonna be pissed because I KNOW they’re gonna fuck it up.
