Nah, the comic will likely just never mention it again or even use the character again. Like how for the most part they stopped using Queen Chryslasis after she returned on the show even though she was constantly in the comics (I think they used her like one more time and that was it).

The data cache that was leaked in 2017 shows S9E1 on the reference sheets for King Sombra and Grogar, so Grogar will be in episode 1 as well, possibly revealing he revived King Sombra.

May be Chrysalis helped the Sombra return?
