I hope that the characters concerned is a story that brings them together, before putting them together directly on a heartbeat, that it is not just a fan who declares his love for a character.

gallstream is safer. some point they oppose the others bring them together but in the end they are tuned together.  
spolder their relationship is like the big sister and little brother (Rarity is staying Spike’s crush.)  
embrax the situation is different these two monarchs have weaknesses and they fill the weaknesses of the other.  
Starburst is a childhood romance that despite the wounds and the years they stink to make renewed this love.  
dislestia the most complicated because can clue confirms it. to sum up they are of the same generation or at least they can live at the same rhythm and it is about change in their millenial behavior. (a respectful Discord of others and a Celectia more fun )

Lol. That ain’t even the worst part. There’s a concept called “forced diversity.” One example I could take off the top of my head is taking an existing character, let’s say Iceman from the marvel comics and then inexplicably turning him to come out as gay. I have gay friends who are in to comics and even they think its stupid.

I’m not some SJW pussy who can’t take someone disagreeing with me. I just don’t ignore stupid nonsense when I see it.
 
I’d tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.
 
And the truth, when we really all get down to it, is that if you just make a character and have the main thing about them be that they’re homosexual or a woman, or whatever else and that’s the main thing about them, they really will be nothing but the Token whatever character type that is.
 
For instance.
 
If you put a homosexual male character into a movie, just to have a homosexual character, you might as well just make them look and act like the most flaming homosexual that has a super strong lisp and says stuff like “That’s a STHUPER great idea!” and whatever.
 
Because the character will pretty much just be the mandatory token __ character rather than them trying to make a good character, that just happens to be this or that.

I will come back to these words I do not want to hurt anyone.  
I’m nothing against lesbian or gay couples and even some straight couple, but when you see couples who have no legitimacy in the show, that’s a problem for me.  
I wonder if we’re watching the same show.  
for me the fan fiction crashes in relation to the show even if I prefer another couple because who am I to decide for them ;)

And I always find it annoyingly stupid when someone makes a character gay or a woman or whatever else just because, instead of actually making a good and interesting character.
