New headcanon, when people have midlife crisis it’s because the contacts for their cartridges need cleaning and God has to pop open your noggin and blow the dust out and reinsert your cartridge, after you’ve been reset you end up feeling a lot better.

Actually, some episodes like “Putting Your Hoof Down” showed even Ponyville has jerks. Even BonBon was kinda a jerk to Flutters in that ep’.
 
Ponyville isn’t perfect either, remember the occasional monster-attacks reminiscent of PPG’s Townsville?

I was discussing that with a friend awhile back. Really, the romanticized idea we have of Equestria is really mostly just Ponyville. Everywhere else we’ve visited? Full of jerks. Cloudsdale? Full of jerks. Canterlot? Full of jerks. Manehattan? Las Pegasus? Griffinstone? Yakyakistan? Dragonlands? Jerk central all! True, they’re amusing jerks, and a lot of them are lovable jerks, once you get to know them, but still!

Yeah, I think I oddly saw something like that on FiMFiction with Dr. Robotnik/Eggman of all characters. Didn’t read it though.

That’s a common plot device for fanfics too. Not just people in general dying and appearing in Equestria but characters from many other series which appear in Equestria after they die in their respective series. Often reborn as ponies.

I don’t get some of the fandom’s false romanticized idea that Equestria is a perfect/peaceful “utopia.” Said kingdom has many different dangerous mythological monsters, mean citizens, hints that war, criminals, and such exist, among other things. It’s not perfect, or peaceful.
