I mean you can make that argument and a lot of the time you would be right. However in this case I think that is ignoring everything else about the characters and writing on EQG. Outside of that one special and arguably Camping Must Haves there isn’t much else to support it at least from what I remember. (and no Rule 63 Applejack aka Ragamuffin honestly doesn’t count)
 
Now take the case of Lyra and Bon Bon or Holiday and Lofty. Both have ample evidence for them being in a relationship and very little evidence for it being anything else, especially Holiday and Lofty. (Lyra and Bon Bon you can make some weak arguments they aren’t IMO) Plus you have the staff saying that for at least Holiday and Lofty that was their intent with the characters. And IIRC Lyra and Bon Bon was intentionally played with. Which is more then you can say here since its really just one special that is shipping heavy and maybe one of the shorts.
 
I like Rarijack and everything but there is just so little to support it in EQG or the Main Show.

If the people that write/direct/animate the show are shipping it then it’s pretty much canon kiddo.

For reasonable people, a kiss isn’t really need it, nor a hug or muzzling each other, but simply implying that there’s something more going on there should be enough (at least for me it would). And let’s face it guys, a straight up kiss or confession is not going to happen in the MLP universe, like ever, heck, it rarely even does when it comes to M/F characters.

True but it’s not that bad of a question to be quite honest (especially since people were debating on whether it was deliberate or not). We got an answer. It sort of was deliberate. But we also got an answer that they wanted it to be interrupted ambiguously. So the ship isn’t canon but they did ship tease a bit.

No it means the staff ship them as a couple. Not that it is actual canon. However if you want to see it that way you can. They even state they road the line on purpose.
