There is none, that’s why I think it fits so well. I like to think in terms of a pseudo comic-book universe where multiple characters from diffrent videogames and cartoons all inhabit the same realm of existence.
 
Like Sonic, Crash, Ratcht&Clank, Sly Cooper ect. have to deal with a Secret Invasion kinda like what happened accross the Marvel universe.
