I think I might have a theory… Anon and quartz accidentally get married because of some archaic rock law…
Polygamy in the rock Amish is A-OK.
And as a strictly traditional mare, Quartz knows how to do her duty on her wedding night.
There is another way he could potentially pull it off.
 
But he’ll need help.
 
Anon: “Hey, Starlight. You’ve got a mom, right?”  
Starlight: “No no no, no. I am not introducing you to her. I am not telling you where she is. You stay away, got it?”  
Anon: “Just… calm down, ok? I’m not after your mom. Yet.”  
Starlight: “I swear to Celestia I’ll scatter your ashes over half of Ponyville if you so much as go near her!”  
Anon: “Look, let’s make a deal. I’ll stay off your mom, but I need you to do something for me. I need to go back in time for, like, a day.”  
Starlight: “There’s no way I’m sending an irresponsible lech like you into the past.”  
Anon: “Did I mention I worked for the post office briefly? You still write your parents occasionally, as I recall. Now what was the address again…?”  
Starlight: “… Just a day?”  
Anon: “More or less.”
 
Then he just needs to travel back to when Cloudy is going through her version of Rumspringa (which I assume in reality is a bit different than the popular conception, but as this is all made up anyway, it can be whatever you want to make it), when restrictions on her were relaxed and she was able to make a few mistakes. Like getting drunk and trying out some weird disgusting human-ish thing from another time.
