@PonyPon
I doubt any of them did. Honestly, If I’d just watched the episode without knowing beforehand that they were meant to be a couple, I don’t I’d have known they were actually supposed to be. They just saw someone on the internet say “lesbians in a cartoon” and went off.
It could be due to them being annoyed by the very existence of widespread support for LGBT people (instead of catering to their values) leading to this attitude. They feel cornered as a result.
Or it could be due to their religious beliefs or their fears that ”all homosexuals are perverts/weird/spread AIDS”.
I got nothing against gays at all, but why should this be the “focal point” of the episode? I mean, we finally see that one of the show’s characters’ parents are shown for the first time, completely shattering a ton of fanon theories over whethere she’s an orphan, a latch-key kid or whatever.
But noo…everyone focuses on the lesbian aunts. I repeat I got nothing against any homosexual relations, but the fact everyone focuses on them as groundbreaking and the most important point of interest are just looking for brownie points with the “current fad”.
Let’s just enjoy the fact one of our favorite fillies finally has her parents, k?
You know, this got reported for Rule #3, and I was about to delete it for that reason, but actually won’t now thanks to you.
I think it’s important that people understand that the people in the screencap’s comments exist, and that they’re not a rarity in the US (or apparently Canada).
I think it’s very important that you realize, that you actually realize, that “america” still has thousands upon thousands of people that truly believe in their little heart of hearts that THE HOMOS are not only “ew!” but also need to rounded up and/or shot.
