Well, Boulder said they were not working on any EQG stuff as of like, June. It is entirely possible they began work later, or even finished this special before they made that post.  
It could also be a third animation studio, perhaps to relieve some pressure from Boulder. But we know for certain it is not DHX.

Even Boulder said they did not work on the shorts and the EG holiday special and as for Shannon cuz she and Andrea shares the same agent Andrea said she doesn’t know who voice Pinkie in the shorts so it’s not Shannon it has to be one of the VAs in New York

I honestly just want to know who voiced Pinkie in the CGI shorts! It may have been Shannon like you said a few times, but there’s a bigger possibility the Mane 6 (if they all appear in those shorts) are being voiced by non-union VAs from New York. And there’s also another possibility they may be voicing their EqG counterparts if the Digital Series gets a third season (or even in this upcoming Christmas special).

The CGI series is done by Boulder, as is the new EQG special. Check it out, they are actually working ridiculously hard to get this stuff out.

The show really is amazing, and I’m looking forward to see how these episodes set it up to evolve as a comic series, through EQG, and through the web series Boulder has begun to produce.

I’ll miss FiM a lot, but I’m looking forward to see these last episodes.

Big Jim said it was a dedicated epilogue, meaning they want to tie up lose ends and end the story once and for all.

I just hope that “the last problem” dont end up being a flashback episode, those kinda of episode is just lazy.
