One would think that hatching up a plan that would have killed millions without caring about the consequences, coming so close to succeeding that the [PRINCESS OF FRIENDSHIP] herself had to intervene, and then proceeding to try to do it all over again would be enough to throw the “just [A UNICORN]” defence out of the window quick.

This is… almost exactly how I’d imagine Cozy’d end up, and I’m genuinely pretty hurt about that. In my heart.
 
Like… this still isn’t the worst thing. Really, it’s not! If the leaks are anything to go by, she at least became the terrifying immortal demigod everyone knew she was; so that, heh, heh, that puts a smile on my face.
 
Oh well! Besides the spoiler itself that makes my soul burn in hatred with the fury of a trillion dying stars, I just wanna watch the ending in peace. Let’s at least wait until the day comes officially until we throw another fit on the writing, yeah? Pretty please?

We knew the past of Luna, Cozy is an enigma with no parents, no reasons to be evil and no background. it’s just a child that appeared from nowhere and she hates ponies and magic. This screams for explanation, not for imprisoning her without a single question. This is not how Twilight and her friends worked with their enemies so far.

I wish you are right, but this is Big Jim and his show now. This is not the MLP FiM that made me love ponies, but still I really, really want to like the new characters. I think it’s matter of weeks until Jim will post that “No, this time they’re never coming out of the stone, WE JUST KILLED THEM”.

I want to remind you they had no problem with killing Sombra (no matter how evil and one-dimentional he was) and Storm King. They didn’t have a problem with presenting Scootaloo’s parents as self-cenetered jerks, and other ponies were ok with that. The latest episodes are way more mean and brutal than the first ones.

In fact, that was closer to what Nightmare Moon would have done, but Luna certainly regretted what she was about to do. Cozy went and tried again instead.

The show ending is one thing. They can still imply a future beyond the show itself to serve a different kind of message.
 
If they straight-up said “No, this time they’re never coming out of the stone, WE JUST KILLED THEM” that would be totally different. And I don’t even think the ratings would allow that to be implied.
 
Discord had to wait what, like a thousand years before he become good? I think it’s healthy to assume that this theme will someday come full circle. It doesn’t matter if we don’t actually see it on-screen.

You see, there is a problem. This is the end, there is no place for “Cozy will come back and they’ll help her”. This is how it ends. A great way to turn the “everyone deserves the second chance” idea from the first seasons 180 degrees. This is depressing.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. She was basically a wannabe serial killer. She’s actually arguably more evil than any of the others, she’s old enough to understand the concept of death.
 
Even Chrysalis when she invaded all that time ago in season 2…. She never actually spilled any blood. It was a pretty “nice” way to invade.
 
Granted I’m sure a lot of that is because the show’s rating wouldn’t allow on-screen or even implied death, but still, I like to think she actually isn’t as blood thirsty as she likes to pretend she is. But Cozy Glow? What she tried to do is actually more “deep” than anything we’ve seen before or since.

I still stand by what I said earlier, preferably they shouldn’t have made her quite so evil and maybe spare her here in the end by having her have a change of heart, but whatever.
 
Also this isn’t death, don’t be so dramatic. We’ve seen people return from this stone form plenty of times before - DISCORD WAS ONE OF THEM.
 
If anything Discord’s very presence here I’m sure is implying that someday in the future, when the time is right, all of these people will be reformed just like he was, but not until later. Who knows, maybe it’s a nod to the future G5. We still don’t know how “direct” the next generation will be.
 
Judging by the way this show goes I’m sure there’s a line in there somewhere implying that someday more powerful friends will have to deal with these villains and try to change them.

so… cozy was not just a kid after all?… because in other case, this would be really awful…

The way she nearly killed people in cloudsdale was one of the more actually serious and “real” bad things I’ve seen from the show and it’s like all of her defenders forget that.

Still don’t know much about Rainbow, Rarity, and AJ’s endings aside from Rainbow maybe becoming captain of Wonderbolts.
