I wouldn’t say Somnambula’s powerful…her artifact is The Blindfold of Faith…she doesn’t have any powerful magic. All the other pillars do! Rockhoof was blessed with a magical strength and his shovel has that magic encased in it; Flash Magnus has Pegasus Magic, possesses Netitus the Fire-Proof Shield, and was extensively exposed to Dragon Fire which we know has magical properties due to Spike’s Teleportation Fire, Sparky’s Transfiguration Magic, and Opaline who as a Fire Alicorn use Dragon Fire to gain power; Meadowbrook works with potions and she definitely uses them on herself, She was exposed to Flash Bee stings and owns 8 enchanted items (The Healer’s Mask most likely one of them, The Staff of Sameness wasn’t actually enchanted and Starlight only use the stick to channel her magic…sort of like the tridents in Minecraft); Mistmane is a sorceress and the flower contains her beauty and is known as The Everlasting Flower; Star Swirl’s a experience wizard, he works with all sources of magic, he brews potions, uses artifacts, and writes spells; Now what about Somnambula? Well, the only thing she’s got going for her is that hot plot worthy of clop. Somnambula own artifact blinds her, and the only magic she has been exposed to is either jinxes or curses, a jinx that prevents her from flying or a curse that drains her magic and gives it to her opponent. Also, Glowpaz’s only property is it’s ability to glow and Somnambula’s “Hope” is also a wooden pole, it’s a Wooden Pole! So, Stygian and Somnambula are the weakest Pillars…sad yes…at least Somnambula’s innocence in the comics is cute!

Tirek had just defeated and stolen the magic from all the other Pillars, and they told her to go and warn Twilight.

Magic theft is just a annoying,stupid and pointless plot device that is used too much because ran out of different ideas. That is the biggest issue that I think makes this finale so dissapointing.
